Celebrating Professional Athletes who Grew Up in Habitat Homes

Here at Habitat MidOhio, we've seen firsthand how the stability of homeownership opens doors to new opportunities.  Research shows that housing stability is an important driver for children's growth and educational outcomes. Owning a home compared with renting leads to a 13-23% higher-quality home environment for children.  This month, in honor of the Olympics, we're excited to share this video of the CEO of Habitat International, Jonathan Reckford, interviewing three professional athletes who grew up in Habitat homes.  They discuss their memories of helping with Sweat Equity, their home Dedications, and what Habitat means to them.  We're happy to celebrate the triumphs of these Habitat athletes and hear how Habitat helped shape their future!
