About Habitat Ambassadors
The goal of the Habitat Ambassador Program is to maintain a group of people willing to be called upon as representatives of Habitat MidOhio when an event arises. The need for Ambassadors can vary from month to month. Ambassadors will receive training in Habitat MidOhio's mission, history, and programing to prepare them to assist with special events, supporting fundraising events, and hosting tables at service fairs/expos. All materials and training will be provided prior to attending or leading any events.
What Habitat MidOhio expects from Habitat Ambassadors:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- After being trained, answer basic questions regarding HFHMO volunteering, advocacy, and basic Habitat knowledge
- Share your knowledge with enthusiasm and confidence
- Commit to being a representative of HFHMO
- Communicate with HFHMO about progress, needs, and concerns
What Habitat Ambassadors can expect from Habitat MidOhio:
- To equip you with the knowledge necessary to answer questions or direct people to somebody who will have an answer
- Provide an ambassador pin and nametag
- Provide handout materials and contact information
- Make arrangements for events
- Keep ambassadors informed of opportunities and changes
- Opportunity to receive recommendation letters/volunteer certificate
